At 329 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Needmore, or 14 miles south of Muleshoe, moving east at 10 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR NEEDMORE. HAZARD…Three inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and vehicles. Locations impacted include… Earth, Amherst, Needmore, Bula, Muleshoe Wildlife Refuge, Sudan, and Littlefield.

Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will continue across Central Indiana through the evening hours. A few storms may be strong with brief periods of gusty winds, small hail, lightning, and cold air funnels. These weak funnels typically do not reach the ground and do not pose a threat to life or property. However, it is still advisable to have multiple ways of receiving NWS weather alerts in case a warning is issued for your area.
