The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor, or tenured faculty position at the Associate Professor level with a target start date of July 1, 2025. We seek candidates interested in building a strong, vibrant, and diverse research group in Macromolecular Engineering. Applicants proposing to establish research programs in Macromolecular Engineering, Complex Fluids, and/or Soft Matter Engineering, broadly defined, will be fully considered. Candidates interested in establishing computational, experimental, or hybrid research programs are welcome. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Postdoctoral experience is strongly desirable.
Successful candidates will be expected to develop a vigorous, externally-funded research program, recruit and mentor students and postdoctoral scholars, provide outstanding teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels,
