Though snow will continue to diminish away from the snowbelts of north-central WI through the evening, expect untreated and less traveled roads will become slippery and icy as temperatures continue to fall through the 20s, allowing any residual moisture to freeze. Use caution if traveling as roads that were just wet earlier today may turn icy. Where it it still snowing early this evening, expect visibility to be reduced to less than a mile at times as winds gusting to 40 mph will lead to blowing and drifting snow. The worst conditions will be found in open areas.
