Requirements

A Doctorate (NQF Level 10) in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of seven (7) years of lecturing experience at the tertiary education level and/or relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of pertinent professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written). Proven competence in successfully sourcing research or project funding from third-party sources, initiating and managing research projects, developing curricula, and exhibiting strong management, organisational, and mentorship skills. Ability to create high-quality course materials and teach in at least three (3) of the following courses at both under and post-graduate levels: Thermofluids and Energy, Renewable Energy Systems (Solar & Wind), Sustainability Systems, Energy Economics and Management, Energy Storage, and Green Hydrogen Production. Experience in developing postgraduate programmes, along with the capacity to assume academic leadership, establish professional networks, and maintain industry connections, is essential.
