Additional snow accumulations ranging from 1 to 3 inches over southern Vilas County, to as high as 4 and 7 inches for the snowbelts of northern Vilas County. Winds gusting over 30 mph will result in blowing and drifting snow in open areas. * WHERE…Vilas County. * WHEN…Until 6 AM CST Thursday. * IMPACTS…Hazardous conditions will continue to make travel very difficult across far north-central WI, into northwest WI, as well as western Upper Michigan. Numerous power outages have been reported thus far in north-central WI, and at least isolated additional power outages remain possible through the night.

The passage of a cold front tonight will allow for increasing west winds. Isolated gusts to around 45 mph will be possible at times, especially right after the frontal passage. This could produce localized travel difficulties, as well as a few downed tree limbs.
