At 320 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles southeast of Chemult to 10 miles northeast of Crater Lake Lodge. Movement was southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD…Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Jackson Creek Forest Camp and Klamath Marsh and portions of Highway 97 south of Chemult and eastern portions of Highway 138 north and northeast of Crater Lake.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE…San Bernardino Mountains southeast of Big Bear Lake. * WHEN…Until 353 PM PDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 321 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Onyx Summit, eastern Mount San Gorgonio, Hwy 38

Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include… Mainly rural areas of South Central Cibola County. This includes New Mexico State Highways 53 and 117.
