At 1109 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Ainsworth, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD…Nickel size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Ainsworth, Bassett, Long Pine, and Johnstown. This includes the following highways… Highway 183 between mile markers 168 and 201. Highway 20 between mile markers 226 and 259.

Mostly clear skies, light winds, and lingering low-level moisture are helping areas of valley fog to develop and become dense early this morning. This fog will continue to expand through early morning hours but likely remain the densest in the valleys. Expect visibilities below a quarter of a mile at times in the thickest of the fog. Be sure to slow down and use your low beam headlights. The fog will linger through the morning commute before clearing out.

The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 1:53 AM.
