Winds gusting as high as 35 mph in southern Kachemak Bay. * WHERE…SW Kenai Peninsula and Southern Kachemak Bay. * WHEN…Until 6 AM AKST Saturday. * IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. Expect icy conditions to develop throughout the day as wet roadways freeze and snow accumulates. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A gradually cooling airmass will transition rain to heavy wet snow this morning. Highest snow accumulations expected along higher elevations such as Dimond Ridge, Nikolaevsk and along Jakolof Bay Rd in southern Kachemak Bay.

Patchy dense fog with visibility of one-quarter mile or less has been observed in portions of central Washington. Fog is expected to persist through the early morning hours. Expect rapid reductions in visibility over short distances, slow down and allow extra distance between other vehicles on the road.
