The Department of Aerospace Engineering in the College of Engineering at Wichita State University invites applications for four tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in the areas of solid mechanics and aerodynamics. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in damage tolerance and structural dynamics for solid mechanics positions and a background in experimental aerodynamics and aircraft design, theoretical aerodynamics and/or CFD for the positions in aerodynamics.  We seek innovative scholars and educators who will contribute to our academic programs and research profile. The successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop productive research programs, and provide service to the university and profession. These positions are a 9-month appointment with an anticipated start date of Fall 2026.
