* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE…A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange and Wake. * WHEN…Until 700 AM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 526 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Fog has developed in many of the valleys across the region early this morning, becoming dense in some locations, with visibility of a quarter mile or less. If driving in dense fog, use low beam headlights, slow down, and leave plenty of distance between vehicles. The fog will start to dissipate in most locations by 9 AM.
