Just 8 minutes ago, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Malita, Davao Occidental, Davao, Philippines. The tremor was recorded after midnight on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, at 12:10 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 147. km below the surface.
The event was filed by Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the first seismological agency to report it.

At 1114 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Taft, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Portland, Taft, Gregory, Bayside, and Taft Southwest. This includes the following highways… US Highway 181 between mile markers 626 and 644. US Highway 77 between mile markers 638 and 642.
