Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency reported a magnitude 5.0 quake in Indonesia near Kotabumi, North Lampung Regency, Lampung, only 5 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the morning on Thursday, August 28th, 2025, at 9:15 am local time at an intermediate to considerable depth of 184. km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
