Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

At 910 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over The Intersection Of Us- 277 And Ranch Road 189, or 14 miles south of Sonora, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… The Intersection Of Us-277 And Ranch Road 189 and Us- 277 Near The Sutton-Edwards County Line. This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 413 and 421.
