…RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR LEEWARD AREAS OF NIIHAU KAUAI AND OAHU… .Increasing moisture associated with a passing upper-level disturbance will decrease critical fire weather conditions over the islands of Maui County and Big Island. Red Flag Warning conditions will continue for leeward areas of Niihai, Kauai, and Oahu Counties today to account for 45 percent or lower relative humidity within those areas through this afternoon. The National Weather Service in Honolulu has cancelled the Red Flag Warning.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Medina and Uvalde. * WHEN…Until noon CDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1001 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen over the past 12 hours. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Hondo, Sabinal and D’Hanis.

Patchy dense fog will reduce the visibility to one quarter mile or less over portions of south central North Dakota, and the James River Valley. Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing visibilities. Use low beam headlights and be extra cautious at intersections and railroad crossings. The fog is expected to dissipate around noon.
