* WHAT…Two to three feet of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE…Dorchester, Wicomico and Somerset Counties. * WHEN…Until 4 AM EDT Friday. * IMPACTS…Widespread flooding of vulnerable areas will result in an elevated threat of property damage to homes and businesses near the waterfront and shoreline. Water will be 2 to 3 feet above ground level in some areas resulting in a sufficient depth to close numerous roads and threaten homes and businesses. Flooding will extend inland from the waterfront along tidal rivers and bays resulting in some road closures and flooding of vehicles.

ESFAFC The Skilak glacier dammed lake (GDL) is believed to be releasing based on observed stage increases downriver. Without recent aerial reconnaissance it is impossible to be 100% sure that recent rises aren’t due to precipitation; however, based on recent precipitation estimates a GDL is the most likely cause. Residents along the Kenai River downstream of Skilak Lake should be aware of rising water through Monday. Assuming the GDL is occurring, the Kenai River below Skilak Lake is expected to reach action stage (12 ft above gage datum) late Saturday night (11/01) or early Sunday morning (11/02) and crest just above flood stage (13 ft) Monday morning (11/03). * WHAT…North winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. * WHERE…St Lawrence Island. * WHEN…From 1 PM Friday to 1 PM AKDT Saturday. * IMPACTS…High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult. Snow showers accompanied with the high wind will result in visibility of one-half mile or less at times.
