Patchy dense fog has developed in the Hanford area this evening, including along SR 240, and is expected to persist through the night. Motorists should be prepared for sudden changes in visibility, slow down when encountering dense fog, and use low- beam headlights.

* WHAT…Very cold wind chills as low as 25 to 30 below zero. * WHERE…Portions of the southern Adirondacks, including Northern Warren, Hamilton, Northern Fulton, and Northern Herkimer Counties. * WHEN…Until 9 AM EST this morning. * IMPACTS…The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
