* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of northeast Florida, including the following county, St. Johns. * WHEN…Until 1130 PM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 822 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… World Golf Village and Durbin. – http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

At 804 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Titusville. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Titusville, Cocoa, Port Saint John, Mims, and Titusville Airport.

* WHAT…Strong east to west longshore current. * WHERE…Coastal Brunswick County. * WHEN…From 6 AM EDT Monday through Monday evening. * IMPACTS…Longshore currents can sweep swimmers and surfers into rip currents, piers, jetties, and other hazardous areas. It may sweep swimmers off their feet, making it difficult to return to shore.
