Just 11 minutes ago, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Miangas, Sulawesi Utara, Indonesia. The tremor was recorded early morning on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, at 1:03 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 84. km below the surface.
The event was filed by Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 4.5 as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Miangas (pop. 820) located 22 km from the epicenter.
