* WHAT…Life-threatening rip currents. * WHERE…Beaches of north-central and northwestern Puerto Rico. * WHEN…Through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS…Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water, where it becomes difficult to return to safety. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A pulse of a northeasterly swell from Major Hurricane Humberto will maintain seas up to 7 feet across the local waters through this evening, resulting in breaking waves of 7-9 feet across exposed beaches. These potentially life- threatening conditions will gradually subside as the system moves away, with coastal conditions improving on Monday.
