The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a magnitude 2.7 quake in Italy near Pozzuoli, Naples, Campania, only 22 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the morning on Friday, April 25th, 2025, at 8:28 am local time at a very shallow depth of 3.70 km. Weak shaking might have been felt in Pozzuoli (pop. 81,200) located 2 km from the epicenter, and Monterusciello (pop. 29,100) 4 km away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Quarto (pop. 37,700) located 5 km from the epicenter, Pianura (pop. 57,800) 5 km away, Soccavo (pop. 45,300) 7 km away, Fuorigrotta (pop. 76,500) 7 km away, Marano di Napoli (pop. 49,900) 9 km away, Giugliano in Campania (pop. 80,300) 12
