Position Description:

The Department of Civil Engineering at McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Geotechnical Engineering, preferably at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The Department has established research activities in environmental engineering, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, transportation engineering, construction materials, and water resources engineering.

The Department is committed to excellence in teaching across its undergraduate and graduate programs in Civil Engineering, and values service contributions of its faculty members to the University, the profession and society at large.

Preferred qualifications include a demonstrated dedication to an environment that supports a diverse population and a range of perspectives. As our students come from a wide range of disciplines, cultures, and backgrounds, we invite candidates to address their ability in their application to effectively teach, supervise, and mentor in this context.
