Latest quakesThis page is frequently updated.
The most recent quakes (above magnitude 2 for the past few hours, larger magnitudes for the rest of the past day, to limit the number to about 100 per day) are shown below with detail links for each quake.
We use multiple data sources from all over the world (currently over 20 different national and international agencies), and prioritize them in the following descending order: national institutes / agencies – USGS – EMSC – GFZ. Where data from different agencies for the same earthquake is available, you can find and compare the often differing data for magnitude, depth etc. in the detail page for each quake.
If you are looking for smaller and/or earthquakes in a specific region, you can look them up on the pages of specific countries or regions. Otherwise, there would be hundreds or thousands of earthquakes shown here.

A magnitude 4.8 earthquake near Baguio, Benguet, Cordillera Administrative Region, Philippines, was reported only 18 minutes ago by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in this part of the world. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 10. km beneath the epicenter in the morning on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, at 10:30 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake was probably felt by many people in the area of the epicenter. It should not have caused significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves, broken windows, etc.
In Lloren (pop. 5,800) located 4 km from the epicenter, Aringay (pop. 29,800) 14 km away, and Baguio (pop. 272,700) 16 km away, the quake should have been felt as light shaking.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Mangaldan (pop. 88,800) located 31 km from the epicenter, Manaoag (pop. 59,100) 33 km away, San Fernando (pop. 83,000) 35 km away, Dagupan (pop. 171,300) 36 km away, and Urdaneta (pop. 101,000) 42 km away.
