At 623 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Bobby Brown State Park to near Troy to 9 miles south of Greenwood. Movement was northwest at 10 mph. …Boaters on Lake Strom Thurmond Should Seek Safe Harbor… HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Willington, Gill’s Point, Mount Carmel Park, Bordeaux, Hester’s Ferry Campground, Chennault, Mount Carmel, Leroy’s Ferry Recreation Area, Long Cane Creek Picnic Area, Lake Strom Thurmond, and Bobby Brown State Park.
