Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 423 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM to 9 PM MDT Wednesday. * AFFECTED AREA…Fire Weather Zone 478 Salt Lake Desert and Fire Weather Zone 492 Central Utah West Desert. * WINDS…South 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 35 to 40 mph, primarily across Utah’s West Desert south of I-80 and west of Tooele, Utah. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 10 to 15 percent. * IMPACTS…Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly.

* WHAT…Minor saltwater flooding. * WHERE…Upper Florida Keys. * WHEN…Through late tonight. * IMPACTS…Minor saltwater flooding of low elevation streets and lots is likely. Some storm drains will overflow, and some seawalls and docks will be overtopped. Boaters can expect less clearance under fixed bridges. Motorists should remember that persistent puddles around the times of high tide are almost certain to contain a mix of saltwater.
