At 416 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles south of Agate Fossil Beds National Monument, or 24 miles northeast of Torrington, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southern Sioux County.

At 515 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Millboro, or 18 miles south of Winner, moving south at 20 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Springview, Norden, Meadville, North River Trail, and Bobcat State Wildlife Management Area. This includes the following highways… Highway 183 between mile markers 203 and 225. Highway 12 between mile markers 27 and 51.
