Winds gusting to 25 mph. * WHERE…Sierra Nevada from Yosemite NP to the Lake Isabella area, as well as the Frazier Park area at elevations mainly above 6,000 feet. * WHEN…Until 10 AM PST Friday. * IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.

At 607 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Wortham, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Freestone and southeastern Navarro Counties, including the following locations… Stewards Mill, Streetman, Eureka, Kirvin, Yard, Richland, and Goodlow. This includes Interstate 45 between mile markers 202 and 217.
