In western Washington, significant growth on existing fires takes place under such conditions. If a fire were to begin, air quality may diminish in the surrounding area.

As of 930 am MDT, observation sites reporting dense fog included Yuma, Wray, Colby and Oakley. Gradual improvement is expected late this morning and early this afternoon.

Piers will be heavily swamped by waves. * WHERE…In Indiana, Northern La Porte county. In Michigan, Northern Berrien and Southern Berrien counties. * WHEN…Through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS…Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water and high waves can sweep people off piers.
