An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 occurred in the evening on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 9:33 pm local time near Denpasar, Kota Denpasar, Provinsi Bali, Indonesia, as reported by Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency.
According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a moderately shallow depth of 44. km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.0 as well. A third agency, the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, reported the same quake at magnitude 4.0.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Nusa Dua (pop. 2,500) located 79 km from the epicenter, Kuta (pop. 30,000) 90 km away, Sanur (pop. 14,600) 90 km away, Legian (pop. 10,000) 91 km away, and Denpasar (pop. 725,300) 94 km away.
