* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Coke, Irion, Sterling and Tom Green. * WHEN…Until 315 AM CST. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1215 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Broome, Water Valley and Us-87

At 1210 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Iraan Municipal Airport, or 14 miles north of Sheffield, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of north central Crockett County.

At 1209 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 21 miles west of Sheffield to 21 miles north of Sanderson. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of east central Pecos and north central Terrell Counties. This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 314 and 327.
