This is a NIH, NLM T15 sponsored Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biomedical Informatics. Its training prepares one for a career in academia or industry, performing research in the field of Biomedical Informatics. There is also potential for concurrently obtaining a Masters Degree in Biomedical Informatics.

This is a fellowship that will be paid through an academic fellowship, and we anticipate the fellowship will last for multiple years.

During the NLM T15 sponsored Postdoctoral Fellowship, you will study and perform research in Biomedical Informatics, working on one or more of the following:

About This Role

Kansas State University (K-State) is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual for the position of Beavers Charitable Trust Professor of Practice within the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering within the G.E. Johnson Department of Architectural Engineering and Construction Science or the Department of Civil Engineering. This faculty position is integral in developing educational initiatives in construction engineering, with a focus on educating the next generation of professionals and thinkers and assisting the college with fostering industry partnerships. The position is a regular (9-month) appointment.

Key Responsibilities:

Undergraduate Teaching: Deliver undergraduate courses. Possible topics include, but are not limited to: heavy construction methods, temporary structures, operations management, and construction law. ASHEVILLE, N.C. – FEMA announced an additional $155 million for 130 North Carolina Tropical Storm Helene and past disaster recovery projects. 

Here are some of the notable FEMA grants obligated to the state and communities:

$54 million to the North Carolina Department of Transportation for repairs to roads and bridges. $23 million to the French Broad Electric Corporation for emergency protective measures and restoration of facilities. $17.4 million to the Rutherford Electric Membership Corporation for repairs to damaged electrical poles. $14.8 million to Henderson County for debris removal. $9.6 million to Buncombe County for emergency protective measures, debris removal and road repairs. $3.3 million to the village of Sugar Mountain for repairs to recreational facilities. $1.6 million to the town of Boone for repairs to roads. $1.4 million to the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources for repair work at Paddy’s Creek Beach and Catawba Beach.$1.3 million to the Buncombe County Board of Education for repairs to the North Buncombe Middle School stormwater drainage system and Sand Hill Venable Elementary School.

FEMA is reimbursing these costs at no less than a 75% federal share through its Public Assistance Program which provides funds for state and local governments response and recovery work.
