Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. At 1029 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Fairy Falls, which is near Old Faithful, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This strong thunderstorm will be near… Fountain Paint Pot around 1035 AM MDT. Other locations in the path of this storm include Canyon, Grebe Lake, Lower Falls and Cascade Lake.
