An intermediate magnitude 4.5 earthquake was reported in the morning near Tual, Kota Tual, Maluku, Indonesia.
According to the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, the quake hit on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 9:14 am local time at an intermediate depth of 78. km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, which listed it as a magnitude 4.5 earthquake as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Tual (pop. 90,000) located 105 km from the epicenter.
