Map of today’s active volcanoes

Stromboli (Eolian Islands, Italy): (11 Oct) Our group on the ongoing tour to Italy’s Volcanoes visited the volcano again on the evening of 10 Oct 2027, observing strombolian activity from the summit craters.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a magnitude 3.1 earthquake in the Philippines near Dumaguete, Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, 36 minutes ago. The earthquake occurred early Monday morning, October 12th, 2026, at 3:29 am local time, at a shallow depth of 13 km. The magnitude and other earthquake parameters may still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network RaspberryShake, which also listed the earthquake at magnitude 3.1. A third agency, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), reported the same earthquake at magnitude 3.1.
