India’s National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported a magnitude 4.5 quake in India near Hingoli, Hingoli District, State of Maharashtra, only 17 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the morning on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at 9:13 am local time at a very shallow depth of 5 km. Weak shaking might have been felt in Kalamnuri (pop. 24,800), located 16 km from the epicenter; Hingoli (pop. 85,100), 20 km away; Basmat (pop. 68,800), 26 km away; Nanded (pop. 550,600), 45 km away; Hadgaon (pop. 27,400), 46 km away; Purna (pop. 36,400), 47 km away; Umarkhed (pop. 47,500), 48 km away; and Parbhani (pop. 307,200), 58 km away.
VolcanoDiscovery will automatically update the magnitude and depth if these change and follow up if other
