An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 occurred only 10 minutes ago 14 miles southeast of Narooma, Australia, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 6.2 miles beneath the epicenter near Narooma, Eurobodalla, New South Wales, Australia, in the afternoon on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, at 5:07 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Mystery Bay (pop. 190) located 11 miles from the epicenter, Narooma (pop. 2,600) 14 miles away, Bermagui (pop. 1,500) 14 miles away, Dalmeny (pop. 1,900) 17 miles away, and Tuross Head (pop. 2,200) 23 miles away.
