A period of heavy snow will significantly reduce visibility and create snow-covered roadways across south central North Dakota this evening. Locations impacted by this area of heavy snow include Almont, Flasher, St. Anthony, Hazelton, Wishek, and Ashley. Snowfall will continue to accumulate at a heavy rate around one inch per hour in these areas through mid evening. Snowfall will become lighter overnight, but localized storm total snowfall accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are expected in the area of heaviest snowfall by Saturday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect tonight. Be prepared for difficult travel and reduced visibility, and be sure to check the latest road conditions.
