The Department of Biological Engineering (BE) and the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, Massachusetts) seek applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, effective July 1, 2026, or some other mutually agreeable date thereafter. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

We welcome outstanding applicants developing novel methods in statistics, data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to enable discovery and innovation in biological engineering.
